Educational services

Educational services include tutoring, test prep, life skills, educational workshops including drug prevention, anti bullying, confidence building, etc., The upcoming youth center will provide a contemporary study lounge and a source for youth information and education opportunities.

Social/recreational activities

Family nights and various other activities, as well as the upcoming youth center, provide a safe social and recreational space for our youth. Statistics prove that when youth are actively engaged, they are much less likely to indulge in illegal, harmful, or destructive behaviors that could alter a productive life.

Galaxy offers activity financial assistance to help keep the youth engaged in sports, martial arts, and other activities.

Leadership development & community service

Galaxy Project works collaboratively with many organizations to volunteer, support and promote growth of our youth and within our community. Activities and events are designed to engage the youth and develop their skill set. We also provide financial assistance for youth to attend leadership workshops or events.

Visual & performing arts

The activities under the performing arts component focus on the youth’s development in their areas of gifts/talents. Whether art shows in collaboration with a local art studio, coffee house jam sessions, dramatic productions through the new theatre guild in partnering with the Olive Hill Historical Society, a local musical youth rally, or simple talent nights, this will bring incredible opportunity for youth to shine…and grow. Not only that, youth have potential to be hired to assist with community events there as well.

Health & wellness

The Galaxy Project empowers our youth, and through them, their families and our community as a whole. Galaxy’s goal is to promote the overall health and wellness of our youth. So many factors can impact our youth, lack of basic needs (food insecurity, hygiene supplies, school supplies) can impact their education, behavioral and mental health. We offer various workshops that promote overall wellness as well as supporting the basic needs of our youth.
